Because I think it does, I swear its quality power/heavy metal or is it just me?I know Avenged used to be a poor band but i swear the new album rules!

agreed... but this opinion is very controversial around here... still COE is, imho, the finest heavy/power metal of 2005 and nevermind if it's a bunch of mtv mallcore kiddies who did it ! :P

I think I liked one song of that album. I can't even remember how it goes either.

This album gets a lot of hype, from a select few, but it is pure shit IMO.

It wasn't very good, maybe if the guitarists played something besides arpeggios and the singer didn't want to make me kill him every time he opened his mouth I would like it.

This band has three full-length albums and they sound like a different band on each. Fuck them. I hate bands that follow trends! Are they D.C. Talk or something?

so heavy/speed/power metal is the new trend... :roll:

and, I disagree, they EVOLVED, and the voice changed (and so the music had too) because the singer had throat problems... one thing for sure, the classic (à la Maiden) heavy metal guitars were present on all albums !

plus City Of Evil slays every heavy/speed/power metal released in 2005 ! :P

that it has power elements i can agree with but i don't see that much heavy metal parts. and yes the vocals are whiny but they grow on you, trust me 8)
