Ok, I was just browsing round the net, when I stumbled across this news taken from melodicrock.com. There's a big thing coming on the metal scene, i just know it.

Quote:
Planet Alliance – new super group on Metal Heaven!
Planet Alliance is a project-band where several respected, high class musicians were carefully selected in order to participate in the line-up. The musical direction is melodic hard rock/metal with strong hooklines. Mike Andersson (Cloudscape) and Magnus Karlsson (Last Tribe, Starbreaker, Allen/Lande) started to compose songs for Planet Alliance in early 2005. Bob Daisley (Gary Moore, ex Ozzy Osbourne) and Janne Stark (Locomotive Breath, Overdrive) were also invited to contribute with songs in order to complete the setlist. The full line-up is: Micael Andersson (Cloudscape) – Vocals/Keyboards; Magnus Karlsson (Last Tribe, Starbreaker) – Guitar/Keyboards; Bob Daisley (ex Ozzy Osbourne, Gary Moore) – Bass; Magnus Rosйn (Hammerfall) – Bass; Anders Johansson (ex Yngwie J. Malmsteen, Hammerfall) – Drums; Jaime Salazar (Last Tribe, ex Flower Kings) – Drums; Janne Stark (Locomotive Breath, Overdrive) – Guitar; Carl-Johan Grimmark (Narnia, Rob Rock) – Guitar; Mattias "IA" Eklundh (Freak Kitchen, ex Fate) – guest guitar solos.
The album was produced by Anders Theo Theander at RoastingHouse Studios and will be released in Summer 2006.

Last Tribe and Cloudscape are 2 of my fav. melodic metal bands so this is great news. I'm surprised of Magnus, when does the guy finds the time and the inspiration to be on so many projects ? Well I guess there won't be a new Last Tribe album any time soon. :(
And if you haven't ( and i just know that you haven't) listened yet the debut album of Cloudscape i suggest you at least download. There used to be samples at melodicrock...but not any more.
So apart from this great and exciting news (for some), what is your opinion on Last Tribe and guitar virtuoso Magnus Karlsson ?
