Good stuff, sounds old school. Are these songs old, or do they just play this style still? They're still around, right?

RAPID FIRE hails from Phoenix, Arizona. Acclaimed for their extravagant live performances, bone rattling guitars, and thunderous hooks, this five piece has rediscovered the roots of metal. Drawing on influences from AC/DC, Iron Maiden, and Judas Priest, RAPID FIRE delivers the ferocity of their metal predecessors with a hefty dose of originality. To put it simply, RAPID FIRE is metal.

RAPID FIRE is currently touring to promote their debut full-length album, "Brace Yourself". With a blood lust for success, RAPID FIRE is hell bent to return true metal to the masses. Currently, RAPID FIRE has built a strong name for themselves in the Phoenix area, and are aggressively attacking the Western U.S. (in addition to planning several full U.S. tours over the next year).

RAPID FIRE is Leith Walden (Vocals), Ian "Battle Axe" Walden (Lead Guitar), Dan "Shredder" Fox (Lead Guitar), Brandon "War Hammer" Kinchen (Bass Guitar), and Matt "Sweet Valley" Reed (Drums). This original lineup has loved rockin' together since their early 2002 explosion onto the rock scene with no plans to letup, ever.

RAPID FIRE has shared the stage with such national acts as: Hammerfall, Edguy, Danzig, Jackyl, The Bronx, Atreyu, Avenged Sevenfold, Vehemence, and Darkest Hour. In addition RAPID FIRE has been nominated for awards form both The Phoenix New Times as well as The AIM Awards. Look for RAPID FIRE as they tear up stages across the country and continue to spread the metal gospel. As stated in one of their infectious choruses, they are "...never gonna stop rockin!"

they just released their first album this year and it's totally awesome.

If any of you have AIM I could probably hook you up!

Really? I swear I saw a bunch of CDs by this band on Sentinel Steel before. I'll have to seek this out now.

I like how it combines old school metal with epic metal of today.

Good stuff.

Yeah great band. Great combo of old school heavy metal and some power metal type influences.

Are these songs from their debut or a demo?

Daylight was a nice track, so was battlefield, they had a manowaresque edge which I liked. But I didn't care much for warrior which was bastardised with a pompous euro power chorus unfitting to their overall us power style. I also found the lyrics mediocre, and I don't know why the vocalist keeps trying to put that strained roughness in his voice! In any case, not bad, but I think there's better bands in the U.S. underground right now like Last Empire or Warhag. But if it was demo material, I deffinetely want to listen to their debut.

Its ok....its not very memorable though. They're probably better in concert. I wish the riffs had a little more substance to them.
