Haha, I've never heard a band so similar to Mercyful Fate before. In fact, their name itself suggests a high degree of King Diamond worship. The songs are good though, I'll probably check out their whole album.

This bad boy is out and I think it's the best thing heavy metal had to offer this year yet and it's actually fighting Autopsy for no. 1 in my metal top right now. Spectacular songwriting here, perfectly channeling the evil spirit of Mercyful Fate but with Painkiller like brawn. The guitarwork especially is stellar, a feast of dynamic heavy metal riffs endlessly interwoven with hypnotic solos and dark acoustics. Long and elaborated songs for heavy metal, but so well constructed that they're never monotonous or boring, and I wouldn't have them one note shorter. Don't miss on this one.

It definitely seems to be Mercyful Fate/ King Diamond worship. Great find noodles. Solid stuff.
