If the whole album is like this song, it's going to be fantastic, even without UDO. Btw, new guy reminds me of David Wayne, always a good thing.

I agree, this is a great song and it sounds like they're going to be just fine without Udo.

I've been fortunate enough to see Accept live twice this summer. Their were the best band both at Sonisphere where among other bands were the Big Four, and at another festival where among others were the Big German 3. If you have the chance of seeing them this year anywhere, do not miss it at any cost. Wolf is simply amazing at how well he plays and entertains and moves around the scene (my gf thought he's in his 30s, was shocked when I informed her he's passed 50) and Tornillo fills UDO's shoes brilliantly but shines his own personality as well. The rest of the band is just precision clockwork and their setlist was fantastic, from Metal Heart to Restless and Wild to Breaker to Princess of The Dawn to Fast as a Shark to Balls to the Wall, it seemed just like an endless source of huge heavy metal hits.

Like Jeff Waters said: "This is like a vacation through Europe! I'm gonna play a couple more songs, go backstage, take a shower and return to watch and enjoy the mighty Accept." Indeed. I think even a guitar player of his caliber had a few notes to take from Wolf.

Udo was wrong. Accept works pretty well with Mark Tornillo.
Actually, I think it works better than it could have would the blonde Dwarf had agreed to reunite with his old friends.

yea great song.
:dio: The first time I watched it, I've watched it 5 times in a row. I watch it at least three times a day. I've seen it 20 times overall. It's my new favorite traditional metal song for now. :dio:

I think the inside baseball is that Accept's old drummer/UDO's current guitarist has to be part of the deal and Accept are not biting on that at all.

They could have cut a 3 guitarists deal "à la Iron Maiden"... Anyway, I'm happy it happened like it did as Mark Tornillo fits Accept's style nicely and even brings a little extra to it.

The new Accept album is fucking killer! Not sure how it'll stand up over time, but right now I'd say it's one of the best Accept album ever. Kick-ass album!

I very, very much doubt Accept can be any sort of success without Udo on vocals. Most of the time bands can carry on with a new vocalist but there are those rare occasions where one exact voice is the only thing that gives that certain magic. It's like trying to imagine Blind Guardian without Hansi or Saxon without Biff - impossible in other words.

Anyone have any ketchup to spare? I'm getting ready to eat my hat. Blood of the Nations is brilliant, and Tornillo does an amazing job on vocals. Colour me astounded.

I still think Accept are in the wrong in continuing without the guy that started the band, but the quality of the album speaks for itself.

To their credit, they did try to get Udo back in the band. But yeah, killer album. And Tornillo sounds much better than Udo does these days.

Yeah that's true, but I think when Udo said no thanks they should have shown some gonads and picked a new band name.

I think it's a bit unfair of Hoffman and Baltes, who have musically been sitting on their arses since the mid-90s, to call up Udo and say "hey man, you know that band you've been bursting your balls working on every time Accept has been on shutdown? Do you want to kick that to the kerb and come back to us again?"

But when it comes right down to it Blood of the Nations is much better than Dominator.
