Yes, I'm in the law school. There's a couple of good bands out in Detroit, Reaper, Anguish....can't think of anything else

Suicide Machines (a ska-punk band) and some cool jazz bands. I actually went to the Annual Jefferson Street Jazz Festival in downtown Detroit (specifically, near the border of Detroit and Grosse Pointe) just a few months ago. It was awesome.
