Don't know if this band has any fans here on MR, but they have a new album due for release quite soon called "My Earth Dream".

I don't really know what to think of these new songs. It seems like a step in the modern direction and I don't think that's good for Edenbridge. A much as I like the new Nightwish and even new Within Temptation (to a lesser extent), I don't think this heavier sound works very well with Sabine's vocals and Lanvall's guitar style.

Speaking of Lanvall, he has a solo project in which he plays instrumental progressive rock. Samples can be found at Edenbridge's site and here's a full song:

Personally I think this song is awesome! Too bad it seems very hard to find his albums...

Great band (my favorite CD from them is 'Shine'), but a few people have told me their new one is a disappointment.

Got one of their earlier cds but overall didn't do much for me so I swapped it. I usually like female fronted bands of this type maybe it just didn't click with me at the time.

Like my review stated, I feel that "Myearthdream" is a small step backwards for this band after two solid albums in "The Grand Design" and "Shine".

Looking around the net, the majority seem to agree with me
