I'll tell ya what's offensive  the fact that I can't get the silly quote box to come up on my posts. It works on other forums I'm a member of. So I know I'm doing it right.

Sheeesh!

Just hitting the quote box on someone's post works a hell of a lot better than manually typing it in, for whatever reason.

No offense taken whatsoever, I just found it curious while watching the rockumentary on Metallica last night..."Some Kind of Monster" (great flick, by the way). Anyway I get to thinking about James Hetfield's name, that it sounds like a 19th century President's name.

Then, for whatever reason, I remembered what leee had written about my name. And I thought, HHhhmmm....this guy is most likely a Metallica fan...I wonder what he thinks about the name "James Hetfield"

Again, no offense taken...just curious.

I think under PROFILE you have to have the box next to "Always allow BBCode" checked as YES. I think that will work. And, of course, in the individual reply make sure the box that says "Disable BBCode in this post" isn't checked.

And if I'm a betting man I'd say leee thinks James Hetfield is a shitty vocalist who writes shit metal.

Dude, I was 13 and thought you were Ritchie's son, serious. I told my friends when we were looking at the back of the MM3 album ,look dude, Blackmore's son is in a band on here.......no shit. Loads better then Jaime St Jaimes from Black n Blue wouldn't you agree.

And to Ken........Hetfield was fine when he wasn't trying so hard, and he sounded good on Load as well but they just can't write songs anymore and lost the edge. It happens.

Yeah, I got that a lot (still do) but people said, cousin, uncle, brother. Ritchie is 17 years older than me....a little close to be my dad. I did run into him a few times and we usually had a nice laugh over it as we slapped one another on the back and clanked our pitchers of Guinness together in familial fashion....knowing that somewhere along the way we were related. (We did have in common that we drank straight from the pitcher like a huge half-gallon mug. :dio: )

Saweet! I got the quote thing finally! Thanks, Eyesore

So who where you favortie bands to hang with from that time? I was a huge fan of early stuff by Ratt, Great White, Rough Cutt, Heavy Pettin, Dokken, Black n Blue and others, unfortunetly by 86 everyone was doing the makeup and MTV thing and forgot they were supposed to play metal. You remember those first EP from Ratt and Great White on Enigma? That was some awesome shit.

It was great hangin' with all of them. Hung out the most with Ratt, Great White and Dokken because we all lived in the same town in the L.A. area (Redondo Beach) and recorded at the same studio, Total Access Recording (also in Redondo Beach). Then when we would go to the Hollywood area (about 30 minutes north), we would hook up with Motley, Metallica, Guns & Roses and lots of other metal biggies.

It's like...whoever was in concert...everyone else was hookin' up back stage. This was true whether we were in L.A. or Dallas or whereever.

It was an ass-kicking time, man. I personally knew Jack Russell of Great White the best. I haven't spoken with him in a while, but next time he comes to Denver, I could tell the security who I was and Jack would probably come out and gimme a big ol' hug and shout "Robbie Blackmore!!" in a fake British accent.

So Letchen Grey's Party Politics EP was just reissued on CD (first time ever)!

http://www.retrospectrecords.com/produc ... _grey.html

I just ordered a copy. I can't wait! Every time I find myself on Vibrations of Doom I listen to this album. Everyone should check this album out!

Try to buy a copy if you like it.

Okay, so in reference to the first page of this thread:

If you are going to pay 30 bucks for a handful of promo CDs why not just call CentryMediaDistro and have them send you the same shit for next to nothing. The music will probably be better. I'm sure they would be more than willing to send those samplers out if you ordered just one CD.

Seriously, man, do you ever have a fucking clue?

You're a moron. Get the fuck out of here. Now you're trying to somehow spin it like you knew what you were talking about. Haha. You called them "promo CDs" and said to call CM Distro to get them to send you the CDs for free! Haha.

A. They're not promo CDs. No one mentioned promos.
B. CM Distro doesn't sell them.

I think it's safe to say that you're the dumbest poster to ever join this forum.

You are the moron here. Compilations are promos whether or not they are retailed or not. You don't understand the record business, so when it goes over your head you think what you aren't aware of is wrong or misinformation. That is the definition of absolute pretentiousnesss. Your opinion is not a fact and does not supercede actuality. Reality isn't up for a vote. Get a clue.

Makin' friends and influencin' people, Ken? :P

And as far as Hetfield goes, he's a Dylan - not the best singer out there, but he certainly gets the job done.
