In a shocking turn of events legendary metal masters Judas Priest has decided to split up.It's not know why the split occured but rumors suggest that once again frontman Rob Halford is tired of the direction that Judas Priest is going.Much like the early 90's split Rob felt that his vision of the Priest wasn't matching with the rest of the band including Tipton and Downing who wants to change the bands sound to a more modern approach with less emphasis on metal and more on modern sound.This could have come at a bad time as the band was ready to launch a major tour in support of a brand new concept album dealing with the life and times of Nostradamus.

Both Tipton and Downing have no comment at this time it's not known if they are going to start a new band or what but this indeed is bad news for metal fans who were looking forward to a concept album by Judas Priest.

Rumors are circulating that Rob is planning on doing Halford and a possible reunion with Fight.
