BBB isn't really a revenge song. It's more about the frustration they all endured.

It means "We're a band. Not your backing band!"

IMO it really doesn't matter if it's frustration, revenge, or a formal complaint. Keep it in the band. Don't publicize what should be private and put it out there for public consumption. I just think that it shows that the "guys" in Nightwish have little to zero class and tact.

Perhaps Tarja is challenging/impossible to work with? I don't know? In fact none of us really know what happened behind closed doors. It seems that she's having the time of her life creating her new music. Curiously, everyone she's currently working with seems happy to be working with her. Maybe because they're professionals. That may have something to do with it. I don't know? IMO Tarja has more talent and definitely has more options musically than Tuomas and the rest of Nightwish. She's very versitile. She can sing almost anything across mnay genres.

I wish her the best.

Personally I like the fact that they put it all out there. As dramatic as it was, there was very little drama involved with the whole thing. The band released that statement and then just let it be. Had they not done that, everyone would have their own theory, there'd be tons of drama, and it'd be annoying.

The way they did it was refreshing. They set the record, put Tarja in her place, and moved on. Tarja never once refuted any of it, she just danced around the whole thing, and that makes it fairly clear that the band wasn't lying. And since they weren't lying, she deserved it. Sorry. When you act the diva, you get treated like one.

I will say that it probably wasn't the best idea to give her the letter immediately after the concert. They should've waited for a few days or a week or something.

I completely agree with this in everything that it has to say about the things it talks about.

I have a feeling I'll be in the minority when I say that I think the new album blows. When I first heard their earlier stuff, and all things considered, I really never thought they'd one day be carrying the torch for "soft metal" or... well... whatever the hell they are now.

Well, consider me in that minority with you. I'm obviously not enjoying the new direction of Nightwish.

Soft metal? The album is pretty heavy.

I listened DPP then new Epica and honestly I didn't appreciate how good new Epica is till I did so. Now Nightwish have changed vocal styles they have some tough competition. Nightwish's Once had one of the best openers got you in from the start DPP is a good cd but not a great one like their previous efforts.

Epica's "Divine Conspiracy" smokes the new Nightwish. They have strong musicians writing within that band. Plus, they have Simone.

On this years releases for female fronted bands I would rate them
1.Epica - Divivne Conspiracy 9/10 they keep getting better

2.After Forever- s/t 8.5/10 - great cd

3.Nightwish- DPP 7.5/10 least favourite of theirs.

4.Xandria - Salome seventh veil 7/10 - India was better still this is good

5.Within Temptation - The heart of everything 7/10 prefer their last

What's happeing with Luca Turilli's dreamquest thought there was another cd coming debut was awesome one of my favourites.

Amazon tells me that there's a special edition with a CD with all the instrumental tracks on it. Anyone got this, and is it worth the extra Pound of my hard-earned cash?

Well, it depends on if you like Anette or not ^^. No, actually it was a good addition, unfortunately many of the songs sound empty where Anette would be singing as the music usually takes a break when she comes in :/. The Poet and the Pendulum does sound awesome as an instrumental though!
