Domine's debut "Champion Eternal" is in my oppinion the best album to come out of Italy after the legendary Adramelch debut! They never managed to recapture the greatness of that one, but they're still a very good band, looking forward to the new stuff.

I own Dragonlord. Its a solid album, nothing fantastic. Good enough though that this is another album for me to look forward to in '07.

I think the last two releases are the best buy these guys. Stormbringer Ruler being the best followed by Emperor of the black runes. I think the songwriting/catchy factors have improved tremendously; moving from simply cult/true/ heavy to something retaining those elements but being more "memorable" or "sing-a-long: oriented true-metal. If that makes any sense??

Well that's kinda the point, the debut was dark, heavy, imposing, and filled with millions of riffs in each song. The successors were -like u said- catchier and more melodic. If I want to listen to catchy and melodic "true" metal, I'll listen to Hammerfall. EPIC metal is something completely different, with a whole other set of requierments imo!

Decent band.

The melody for Dawn of a New Day (the one also used in the intro to the album) on Stormbringer Ruler is one of my all-time favourites.

I think the new track (tempest Calling)is excellent, but i am a big fan. I really like the chorus. Giving the True Heavy sound a touch of AOR or maybe even late 70s or early 80s feel. The nthe ending break after the 2nd chorus reminds us that this is still a heavy metal band. For those that like Morby (acquired taste from what i can tell) then they will truly like this song.

I'm looking forward to this album. Good band, with some really awesome songs. And Morby is one hell of a vocalist! :dio:

I say it every time he's mentioned (so does Holy_Terror) but the guy can go frighteningly high. I've never heard anything like it.

Had to listen to this twice coz it didn't grab me the first time. OK, it's a good song, nothing stunning though, as to raise my expectations.

I'd actually be more interested in the new Drakkar? These 2 bands always go together with me, as I discovered them at the same time.

I do have all the albums by both bands. Will be checking Stormbringer Ruler some day, as I have it with me :)
