I have heard Blue Blood, Dahlia and Jealousy. Blue Blood is good one including many great songs, but I still prefer Dahlia. Rusty Nail and title track are great bit faster songs, but where X-Japan really shines are the ballads. Longing, Tears and Crucify My Love are just incredibly epic and emotional. Though Dahlia includes one totally useless filler called White Poem I. Clearer sound of Dahlia seems to fit to X-Japan better than Blue Blood´s more rocky and raspy one. Jealousy is much weaker compared to those other two I have heard. I can´t find anything really memorable there.
I have somehow missed Art of Life. This is not the first forum where I have read how great that song is. Well, now I just have to get it.
Definitely. Let us know what you think.
And I agree about the ballads. I normally skip right past them by other bands, but I listen to X Japan's albums for the ballads. I also agree on the Jealousy remark. There are only a few stand out tracks; "Silent Jealousy," "Say Anything," and "Joker."
