Ok, so the first album I heard by these guys was "Chapter 1." And man, that album was frikin lame (IMO). Anyway, I was going through some of the older reviews on this site and came across "Blood, Guts, and Glory." All I can say is holy crap! I'm listening to "Blood, Guts, and Glory" right now and this is fucking awesome! This is Hammerfall - "Glory to the Brave" all over again.

Any other fans? Is their other album "In Thy Power" any good? Should I give "Chapter 1" another chance?

I have BG&G and while I like it fine and all, something seems to be missing. I think a little more crunch in the guitars would have made it much better (they certainly sound very Swedish, I was quite surprised when I found out they were from Germany). In fact, I may go listen to it as soon as the Roland Grapow album I'm listening to finishes. Its been a while.

In Thy Power is fucking awesome!!! My favourite PM CD of last year, if you like Blood Guts... you'll love ITP as well. I've not heard chapter 1, but it can't hurt to give it another spin.

Wow. I would've guessed Sweden too.

I'm on track nine and so far I've like 90% of what I've heard. Although I can see myself overplaying this and getting sick of it fast. I’ll limit its play time.

I listen to In Thy Power a couple weeks ago and thought it was ok but nothing great. Maybe I'll have to give it another listen sometime soon.

I think Chapter 1 was lame too. Blood,Guts & Glory was an improvement but I don't have a high opinion on it. I tried really hard to get into that album but it just didn't work for me (that "The Midas Touch" song is totally killer). In Thy Power was different: no weak songs, killer choruses, killer solos and generally heavier. If I had to pick just one Cryonic's Temple album it would be this one.

D'oh! Well, I guess my intuitions were right! Total late 90s True Metal.

Every time I open a Limb Music release and see their catalog page I want their CDs (in fact, I want everything Limb releases becuase they're an awesome label!). If anything they've got a cool little mascot dude on their album covers.

I havent heard the debut, but BG&G I thought was a solid PM album, the vocals are awesome and that song "Long Live The Warriors" Gets me singin along everytime.

In Thy Power, initially disappointed me, but it grew, it has alot more to offer than any CT album.

I have all 3 Cryonic Temple albums.

I thought Chapter 1 was pretty good for a debut. The first 2 songs kick ass and the solo on Heavy Metal Never Dies is awesome.

Blood, Guts & Glory is heaps better and made my top 15 albums of that year.

In Thy Power is just as good, if not a tad better and made the top 5 in my top albums of 2005 (check out my post, you know which one, NES).

Cryonic Temple rocks, baby
