I was wondering if any of you guys like Dies Ire? I think they're very good with lots of amazing ideas but their album Legend of Nhor Part1 has really poor production which hold it back a bit. For those of you who have never heard these guys its power metal with lots of folk influences and progressive tendencies.

The Legend of Nhor is a great album songwise, but the production makes it sound like a demo. My favorite songs are In The Name Of The King, A Place In Heaven (beautiful anthemic ending), Elf (great ballad), The Voice Of The Reason and Legend Of Nhor. Basically all songs. The singer has some work to do (he's ok, but that's it), though, but in the end it all comes down to the songs, which are great. Wish they would re-record it.

They should definatly spend some time in a studio, their song writing deserves so much more then the recording has given them. I agree with about the singer but i think that maybe it has a lot to do with the production. And i'm glad someone has heard this band, everyone seems to have ignored this thread.

lots of great ideas floating around, hopefully they will give us an album with good production so we can really see how good they are.
