Jani Liimatainen left Altaria before the new album. Their new guitarists are a guy from Celesty and some other dude that played live shows with them after Emppu left.

If you liked Divinity there is a great chance you'll like The Fallen Empire. Musically they are very much the same, except that Divinity have better songs and is still their best album. 8)

I read that they play melodic metal. I havent heard anyhting from before. Can anyone tell me what they sound like, and any comparisons to other bands?

It's basically a melodic metal in the vein of Last Tribe and Starbreaker, but with simpler song structures and more AOR thrown in. Try their second album Divinity for a taste of their sound.

Really nice album. All of the songs are good, some are even great, but there´s nothing that would give you the wow-feeling. I listened it through yesterday and i don´t remember a thing. Maybe it needs a second spin. Great band and album nevertheless.

Good album. They have a long way to go to close the gap on Sonata Arctica tho. I give it an 80!

This album is a lot better then i thought, 92/100. Showdown and Access Denied are fucking amazing songs!
