"Scream Machine" is badass! Very Painkiller-like. The album ranges from fast-heavy to mid-paced. This album is better than Jugulator and Demolition by a mile! I need to give it more spins, but I find it to be an awesome traditional metal album. The production sounds great, too. If The Glorious Burden sounded like this...goddamn!

I'm really looking forward to hearing this. I've been a Ripper fan since day one, when he was with Priest. I still feel that Jugulator is criminally underrated album. Tim has to be one of my favorite screamers.

I read on his message board that Tim was criticized by Priest for sounding too much like them on his new album and was told to find his own sound. The post was by Tim, supposedly, and it sounded like Tim was really hurt by the comment.

You know, he can sound like Halford, just like Eddie Vedder can sound like Scott Stapp. It's really not a big deal, he has similarities, but any intelligent vocalist doesn't alter their voice to sound like anyone. That'll ruin your vocal chords. Owens sings in his voice, which just happens to resemble Halford sometimes.

For the most part, though, he doesn't sound like Halford. This is a great album. I may have blown my load a bit too soon with my all caps declaration, but the album is still excellent.

I think this album is pretty damn good. The best Tim Owens has done since Heart of a Killer. It is kind of ironic the my 2 favorite albums of the year so far are this and the new Winters Bane. :D I still believe that if this album is a sucess, Tim will leave Iced Earth.

I have the album up on Soulseek if anyone want to grab it. Just tell your user name so I can add you to my user list. My name is the same as it is here.

Tim's days in Iced Earth are numbered, no doubt.

If Tim leaves, that leaves Jon as the only current member of Iced Earth. Wouldnt be surprised if this would mean that Something Wicked Part II never sees the light of day, and Iced Earth might be finished all together. But once again, considering my opinions on Owens and The Glorius Burden, its no big deal in my book, unless of course Jon somehow manages to get Matt back in the band (which of course is just wishful, and hopeless, thinking).

Matt's gone forever and Iced Earth is Jon Schaffer. I doubt he'll pack it up any time soon. There are a million great vocalists out there, many more that could fill that slot. Shit, the vocalist for Winterfell would be perfect!

Its a top album, but I think the new Wintersbane album(Tims first band) is better
