What's wrong with elitism? This is what never ceases to irritate me. People wanting black metal without the elitism, without the nationalism, without its very founding elements; then they go on to claim to comprehend the genre. Its about as hypocritical as Christian Black Metal.
Anyways, the interview was good, and he hit the essence of black metal right on as far as I'm concerned. Could have been a little more informative, but still good to read. Thank you Daniel
I don't think Hoest lack of knowledge of black metal other then from his own countrey has anything to do with elitism. I rather call it ignorance. But you're right on the other comments you've made. Black metal should be taken as meant, although Lord Jotun has yet to deny that (which he will not).
