Messiah's vocals will always be better than the guy from Epicus Doomicus Lanquist. The album as a whole has Mirror, Mirror and Darkness in Paradise, which are two of my favorite doom metal songs regardless of the band. It's a great album and its more consistent than Nightfall, its a shame Messiah no longer sings for them. You are on a roll Zad. :dio: DARKNESS HASS FALLLEEEN IN PAAARRRADDDISSEEEE

They're not ignored. As far as I can remember (first album) they always had good press and with good reason. Thing is, doom has never been and will nerver be a very popular subgenre, it's a shame but metalheads tend to favour fast-paced music.
And this is indeed a classic as about every Candlemass album is.
