THIS is a Classic. I believe we all agree on. :dio:

You've got another thing comin' is a fav of mine, but this album is full of greatness. The guitar work in this album is indeed best described as electric.

I've been waiting for the first person to dissent.

No one in his right man can criticize Screaming for Vengeance. No one liking metal anyway.

I see nobody mentioned Pain & Pleasure. Great song but, then, they all are.

It's all about the Bloodstone.

I can't take it.

I don't think this priest album is THAT good. defenders... painkiller.. Killing machine is way better than this one.

I am perhaps a little biased because this was the cassette that made me a Priest fan for life.

All the planets aligned for JP on this one. Not a single weak song, Halford's vocal tone never sounded better (nor did his highs - just listen to Fever), the leads were furious and memorable, songwriting was peerless, riffs were orignal, lyrics were still non-cheesy for the most part. Even the artwork was fascinating and distinctive.

Few things in ones life actually live up to the hype -The sheer magnitude , professionalism and crushing clarity of a Judas Preist show is one of them. Probably my 3 rd concert ever as of late 1982 /83. 29 years later my adrenaline is rising just thinking about it .
All in all the greatest Metal Band of all time.
