This FUCKING RULES.
One of the greatest 80`s metal records and in my opinion in top three Priest albums. Commenting this isn`t necessary...

Unless some u-21 smartass/core lover doubts it`s classic status, you never know. But that is irrelevant when it comes to JP.
Can I hear Amen!!!

Great album. Electric eye and Riding on the wind are immortal songs from one of the best heavy metal bands in existence. :dio:

Judas Priest. Fuck yeah.

I love this album. Take these chains is an incredibly underrated song. I think I'll pop this in tonight.

Just been really getting into this recently - (Take These) Chains is instantly one of my favourite Priest songs, along with the singles and title track. Aside from the slightly weaker Pain and Pleasure and Fever (IMHO anyway) every song is killer. Great review as always Goat!

Not a good band at all a sodomite should never front a heavymetal band, and Judas Priest are offansive to moral people who want to listen to thrash metal bands that dont promot a homosexual agenda. You people are sick and need councelling for giving this immoral band so many classics.

Undoubtedly a classic. This is one of the albums the mighty Priest is known for. Think Judas Priest and British Steel and this are usually the first albums that come to mind. But I am not sure if I will pick this up. I have listened to 6 tracks out of 10 from this album, (from the Metal Works compilation) and I felt them to be just average. You've Got Another Thing Coming is terribly overrated. In fact, I would say it's kind of filler. However, the transition from The Hellion to Electric Eye is one of the best. I will probably be giving the other few tracks a listen, but even if they are killer, the less than good tracks are too many. I would place Defenders Of The Faith, Painkiller and even Angel Of Retribution above this.

My favorite Priest album.
Great from start (and what a start it is!) to finish. Something Priest has not pulled off quite that often.
A classic if there ever was one.

This should have been one of the first classics on this site.
