Fatal Portrait would have been my first choice, then Abigail but them is undeniably a classic heavy goth metal album.

This is a classic, of course.

Yes, yes, YES!!

Great review Crash, I know exactly what you mean about the first few songs overshadowing the rest - it took me a long time to appreciate the second half of the album as well. But it is another fantastic concept album from the master of the art, and it's good to see it gain the elite status it deserves (on this site at least) \m/\m/

Missy shouted at my back...."I HATE YOU!!"

Love the album and story but not the production. It should have had the same punch as Abigail or Conspiracy. Not sure what happened there...

The vox are too upfront in the mix for my liking, but other than that, it is very good. Musicianship is top notch.

The production is odd, agreed - but Mikkey Dee is a GOD on the first 2 KD albums :D and you know, that Andy guy, he's pretty good too...

Also as I go back and listen to KD albums every now and then it always upsets me how criminally underrated Andy LaRoque is. Guy shreds.
