Yeah, got back into this despite my remarks a page back. It does get over-touted as Teh Best Thrash Evar, but that doesn't stop it being a classic.

I think this review should be re-written... It doesn't really talk about the album. Just... About the band, kind of. And it's pretty broken.

ok I'm ready to be ripped apart Piece By Piece over this...

firstly Reign In Blood IS a classic album, it is very good BUT I have always and will always feel that Hell Awaits and South Of Heaven are better, I'm taking nothing away from RIB, how could I with songs like Angel Of Death, Raining Blood, Postmortem, Altar Of Sacrifice and so one? but for me Hell Awaits is Slayer's best effort with it's unrelenting aggression and violent riffs, whilst South Of Heaven does a slightly better job of catching my attention, when I say better it is almost a margin too small to be measured but it is there for me

I'll still go Criminally Insane if anyone says this album sucks or that Slayer in general suck though

Hell Awaits is better, so is Show No Mercy and Seasons in the Abyss.

Thing is, they are all classics. For the most part. Overrated classics, but classics nonetheless.

ok now I know this is probably gonna get me in all kinds of shit but

Seasons never really clicked with me, War Ensemble and the title track are great but the rest of the album I dunno just seems a little lacklustre given what came before

Season's was alright, but it was a big drop from South Of Heaven... and obviously Hell Awaits, Show No Mercy.

wow, I expected violent disagreement for saying one of the Slayer classics wasn't what it's made out to be

side note: listening to Hell Awaits right now for it is brilliant
