I honestly don't know how this album could be rated any less than 100. This is one of the finest bands in the history of metal, at their peak no less. This album will never get old for me. Now if I could just figure out a way to make it longer....

snarf, it's only half an hour long, just burn a CD with two copies of it in a row ;)

when i first listened to Reign In Blood i felt like i was on non-stop thrill ride for half an hour. If it went for much longer it would probably give you medical problems from headbanging, moshing, yelling and screaming, etc. I think that it is neither too drawn out or too short. Just Right.

If you put the eight songs between AoD and RB in the middle twice it would probably work.

I've learned a valid lesson here on MR about thrash: once you hear vio-lence, dark angel and morbid saint, you'll forget about reign in blood.

And a wise lesson that is!

I will admit that, since hearing Morbid Saint, Slayer seems a bit tame.

Nah. I consider both Darkness Descends and Reign in Blood killer albums.

I've never really seen what is so good about this. For me, Slayer's first CD is the best they ever did, downhill from there.

Yeah, this is the definition of "thrash metal.

I don't think so. The way he sings on this sounds almost like a caricature of thrash.
