Not the best from the Iron Lady, but highly enjoyable. I'd give it 8,5/10. Most songs are good, especially "Only the good die young". Atmosphere is very predominant on this release. If you never heard of Iron Maiden before I'd recommend their debut, "Piece of Mind" or "Somewhere in Time". They're instant classics!

heck, it might be my favorite musical piece of all time!

Like Jack said, once I start playing it, I probably listen to it for a couple of days straight. I never get tired of hearing that CD.

Hi!

I´m agree with the reviewer. This LP is awesome. My favourite LP of Maiden. All the songs are instant classics and more progressive than the bored "Somewhere in time".
Still "Seven son" is the high point in the maiden career. And never they coul do some material of the same level.
I must to say that, after "Seven Son", maiden never release a good LP.

You are certainly not alone in the thought that Maiden have been sub-par ever since. However Brave New World is a could have. Some amazing ideas on that album that never quite gel. The long intros ruin many songs. DOD apart from the brilliant Rainmaker is average at best.

Just a damn great listen from beginning to end. I love Moonchild and The Clairvoyant.
