I actually liked Twlight of the Gods even more than this or Hammerheart (uncommon opinion, I imagine), so maybe that is worth a shot if you haven't tried it.

Blood On Ice is a good one, too,
The Lake is one of my all time favorite Bathory tracks.

An total classic. I remember when I first heard it it struck me how headbangable it was, with a certain attitude you don't find in your typical Viking metal (that Bathory were untypical goes without saying ofc). I prefer Hammerheart just slightly over this.

This album is pretty awesome. Hammerheart and Twilight seemed a little too epic for me but I could easily see how you guys dig it.

Classic stuff indeed! Dies Irae and Blood Fire Death are phenomenal songs. The Thrashy stuff is excellent too.

The intro and A fine day to die were good enough for me to buy the cd.. I listen to those two songs frequently and enjoy them very much... The rest of the CD is fucking great to, but those two songs set such a vivid picture in my imagination......
