VGO is my fav. Edguy album also. The fact that most of the songs here i enjoy, unlike the other albums where only 3-6 songs i find good and the rest are fillers.Consistency was always the problem for me with Edguy albums.Great songs mixed with very bad ones.Only Avantasia managed to keep every song interesting and enjoyable from start to finish.

Then if you liked Out of Control you should like Blind Guardian,Hansi Kursch the singer of Blind Guardian is the other guy that sings on that song.

Ok this is a good album but not THAT good imo. Lots of good songs but no real standout. Hellfire Club is better than this and probably Theater of Salvation too.

Probably my favourite Edguy album, but then I've ony heard three. Out of Control, Vainglory Opera, Hymn, Walk on fighting, Scarlet Rose...well essentially the whole damn album...just brilliant.

The little cameos by Hansi Kursch were such a great idea.

I couldn't agree more !!!

My 5 fav. songs on this album are, in order (not counting "Scarlet Rose" as it's a sweet song...):

- Vain Glory Opera
- Out of Control
- Hymn
- Fairytale
- How Many Miles

(but all of them are good, honest...I really can't bring any bad comments for this album !!!)

All them are great, but for me Out Of Control comes first and then Walk On Fighting,Vain Glorry Opera(the song) its good and catchy but not the best IMO.

This one is the least worst Edguy album since it has good songwriting ,and at that time Tobbias singing was bearable for my ears.On the next album he began to ruin the songs with his ridiculous vibrato, and to this day ,he's getting worse and worse with each new album(while his ego is getting bigger and bigger).
I'd give this one a 85/100(and i'm very kind and generous).

Ed Guy its not a classic, its for teenagers, for those who listen to Christina Alguilear, Celine Dion and ....I dont know. But, man , give up this shit, for god sake, its my best advice.
Sincerly

Because I'm sure that teenagers who listen to Christina Alguilear and Celine Dion know who Edguy is.

And as much as you might not want to think, that joke is deader than Elvis.
