Stephen, this is way, way better than just 'ok' - it's one of the building blocks of Death Metal! Fantastic album.

Meh. Bought this used a couple years ago, don't think I've ever made it into the second half of the album. Most of the riffs are so dreary and lacking in interestingness and the songs are way too long.

Wtf is with all the Necroticism hate? This is one of the only Grindcore albums I like.

Listen to more Pig Destroyer. This is BoooooooRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENGG!

Or even Berzerker's cover of Corporal Jigsore Quandary which is kinda the only decent track on here.

I wouldn't call this grindcore at all, this is a death metal album that absolutely rules. Some of my all-time favorite riffs on this album. Who can forget Corporal Jigsore Quandary and Incarnated Solvent Abuse when thinking of some of the greatest riffs of all time?

Well done.
Like husker said, some fantastic riffage here.

Quite so. It is gnarly death metal, not flashy grindcore.

I do not like this CD. I prefer later Carcass.

Definitely deserving of classic status. As others have said, the riffage is superb.

Only Carcass album I'll still reach for.

CJQ is the obvious standout track, but Pedigree Butchery crushes, and I love the slow grind of Carneous Cacoffiny.

It's incredible how heavy the production is on that album :dio:
