Finally got around to getting this a month ago. An amazing album for sure.

I think this was the first one of theirs that I got, and possibly the first power metal album I ever heard all the way through. What a great album to begin with, I'm sure a lot of people don't like the vocals, but it really sinks in after a few listens, and it's so worth it. I think I need to listen to it right now.

Time Stands Still at the Iron Hill is so fucking EPIC.

Time Stand Still at the Iron Hill is a great song. I hate the rest of the album. Maybe one of these days it will click.

Possibly one of the grandest undertakings in metal history.

I rank this head & shoulders above everything else from them.

There's some good stuff before & after, but nothing with this kind of consistent brilliance.

"Mirror, Mirror", "Into The Storm", "Blood Tears" and "When Sorrow Sang" are all great songs, and "Nightfall" as well is a solid track.
Sort of indifferent to the rest... Hard to get into I guess.
One day I'm gonna have to sit down, put on this album and really LISTEN to it with headphones on the ears and my eyes on the booklet.

It's hard to get into some of them, but all songs are great, really. Even the interludes. Sure, it helps when you're a Tolkien fan and you've enjoyed Silmarillion, you get the atmosphere and the stories much better. Anyway, this is their last great album as far as I'm concerned. So far at least. I'm still hoping they will eventually come up again with something as mindblowing as their whole period Tales-Nightfall was.

I was going through my BG cds and realized I hadn't heard NIME in a while, so I threw it in this week's playlist (caselogic). I haven't touched it all week, and was starting to regret putting it in there, but instead I put it in today. I regret every bad thing I've said about this album. It is amazing from start to finish. I've always labeled this as my least favorite BG album, but I'm going to have to rethink that. This may even be put on my all time list.

That makes me want to try NME again. It's always been one of my least favorites as well, aside from a few songs. Maybe I just haven't given it a proper chance.

Give it a chance man. It is amazing. I've had it on repeat all week.

Totally. There is not one skippable track.

Absolutely phenomenal piece of work. Blind Guardian have been unable to top this one.
