in fact the only Gorguts review on this site is very poor, not to do with the score or anything, but the writing is horrible. I mean, read this:

http://www.metalreviews.com/reviews/detail.php3?id=768

Quote:
The result of their first album Obscura was kind of a fascination in the death scene.

Obscura was their third album.

And the reviewer said their genre was "Morbid Angel copycat". wtf?

Yeah, that review is BS. I'm going to get a Gorguts review in sometime soon, probably for Obscura.

I agree with The New Order and Legacy. I also think it's obvious that Anthrax's, Fistful Of Metal deserves a classic status.

Yeah, it probably does. But not before Among The Living. That hasn't got classic status yet.

Of course, both are classics, but Spreading The Disease... not so sure about that.

Well, it's been done already so I guess it's a moot point, but I'd say it deserves it anyway. On some days I actually find myself liking it better than Among The Living. Some days. But the whole belladonna era is kinda like that for me.

I cannot stop saying this, so for that I apologize, but a Baron Rojo album must be reviewed. Metalmorfosis, En Un Lugar de la Marcha, Volumen Brutal, one of them must be reviewed!!!!

Especially Volumen Brutal (spanish version, please !).
Also, there should be reviews of every Scorpions albums up to Lovedrive (and Blackout would be great too)!
And I want to see someone reviewing the first two albums from the French band Trust!

Hell Yeah to Volumen brutal, a fucking classic.
Hell yeah to the first Scorpions albums.
Hell yeah to first two Trust album. (Au Nom de La Race is a hell of a song).

Don't need to be classics, can be archive reviews.

And I'll add
Muro & Angeles del infierno, from Spain.
Thin Lizzy... this place needs some Thin Lizzy reviews.

And, of course...
Angel Witch.

I've heard Trust, but I def thinkin Warning is better, at least the album I have.

Also if we're on the subject of French Metal, then there needs to be a review for the best French heavy metal band, and there classic debut album. ADX's "Execution"

There were better bands than ADX, some of them never even made it to the first album... My favourite was SMF which only recorded a demo that poorly demonstrates their stages ability. It was heavy/speed metal the old school way, a terrific band.

As for Trust, it greatly helps to understand the language to appreciate the wit and agressivness the band was able to display. Theyr recently reformed and released an album (13 à table) with the lead guitarist's son at the turntables which is a shame on the band's history but their first four albums are killer ones, for sure!

Also, I have to mention Sortilege, Blaspheme, Satan Jokers, Demon Eyes, Attentat Rock as some of the good bands that appeared on France's metal scene throughout the 80's...

How are Berurier Noir old school punk ? It's basically a guitarist, a singer and a drum machine (later joined by a saxophonist)..
If you want classic French punk go with Parabellum, OTH, Metal Urbain, Les Vampire, Trotskids, etc. Now this is old school punk the way it was meant to be!

My favorite Trust album is their 3rd one:Marche ou Creve(with Nicko Mc Brain on drums);it's their heaviest album imo;also their 4th album from 83 is good(i think that one has Clive Burr on drums).

Indeed ADX are great;the 3 first albums are real gems, but they're more speed metal than classic heavy metal(especially Execution).

The kings of pure french heavy metal were(imo) Sortilege during the mid 80s;and also more recently Malediction, which disbanded unfortunately after 2 great albums.

Der Kaiser were top notch musicians but somehow it didn't work... People wanted to hear the closest a French band ever got to Iron Maiden should try it anyway...

Also, Vulcain were great (really Motorhead-like) especially on their debut, Rock And Roll Secours ! :dio:

It's old and it's punk. If you understand french you should try out the band Blasting All Rotten Fuckers or BARF for short. Those guys are fucking awesome.
