I dont even think its a good album. This is the kind of music that is ruining metal in my opinion. I know I'll probably get slagged for saying it but honestly. Too many keyboards and witch vocals...which suck.

I came around it, at first I really liked it but then I realized that it was actually nothing special and that there are not really many good melodeath bands.

I've gotta agree with Holy_Terror and Gast. I know a lot of people like CoB, but they're just not for me.

Depends on whether or not you like melodeath, really. I'd describe them as speedy thrash with melodic death tendencies. If that sounds good to you, then pick it up. If it sounds like a steaming pile of crap, then don't. Personally, I love Children of Bodom. I even have a scythe in my bedroom.

To defend against ex-roommates' boyfriends, I suppose?

No, I'm just weird. Besides, it's so old, you couldn't cut butter with the blade.

Bet you could bash someone's head in with the handle, though. This women's college allows you to keep weapons in your room?

That depends on how you are asking the question. Are you implying that picking it up means it is good and downloading means it is bad? OR are you saying, 'should I buy it/download it (they both mean the same thing)?'

This would be my answer to the first question; Don't download it. Buy it.

Why don't you just download it rather than ask for people's opinions. You can always delete it if you don't like it.

If you are buying it, then yes, its worth the 15 bucks.

Downloading music is bad unless you are planning on purchasing you like m'kay?

What if I plan to but turn out never to have the money?

I guess what I'm saying is that I like stealing music. Nine tenths of all the music on offer should be worth a negative amount of money anyway.

Some bands should pay me to listen to them.

Agreed, I usually just download to check an album out, if i like it, i buy it, if it don't, it sits in my music folder for the next 2 years til i get sick of seeing it and deleting it. In my opinion this album is definatly worth buying, but just download a few songs and if you like it then buy it, Bed of Razors, Black Widow, and the title track are my favourites...

I definitely agree with this album classic status. I had never heard anything like this when I first played it, and I still haven't to this day. A great album.
