I still have mixed feelings about this album. The first I heard it I thought it was the next Eternity, oh how that changed. I enjoy their mid paced songs, but it seems like they are trying to distant themselves from all the other power metal bands, as Marty said. I mean, the faster songs stick with me longer, and I forget about all the others. Anyway, solid release I'd say somewhere in the 70's.

I just reviewed this for Clint's website and I must say that I agree with some of the points from this review and disagree with others. True there are some average tracks, particularly the last three but i like the band's creativity on this album. Especially with the song "Light Up The Sky".
Mr. Evil and Blackened Sun kicks ass, while the others are your typical Freedom Call soaring tracks heard on all of their previous albums.

I'd give it somewhere between 79-84, but no higher

This will be published on June 14th, as part of a large site update.

As for the CD, I haven't quite got it rotating yet ( ), but I will say that I love 'The circle of life'.
:D

I'm not sure what you disagree with in my review....I listed Light Up The Sky and Blackened Sun as "killing" tracks and I also mentioned that Mr. Evil was a cool track as well.

Actually, you are right. After reading it again, there isnt really anything I can disagree with, lol. Except that I found "My Dying Paradise" to be the worst track on the album, but overall, like I said before, i would have given it a little higher score.

And thanks, Clint...that review is yet to be actually published, I forgot to mention that.

Wow, I really liked this album! I would say I like all songs but "Words of Endeavour" is not on par with the rest of the album. Freedom Call is becoming one of my favorite bands at each release.

np: Freedom Call - My Dying Paradise (amazinnnng!)
