Too similar to The Black Waltz. A little more experimenting with the sound they introduced on TBW would have been nice but I guess they wanted to play it safe. It's not a bad album but for some reason i'm quickly losing interest after Wings Of Blackening. The solos on Dead Man's Shadow and Holy Symphony Of War=awesome. :dio:

Solid album, but too similar to The black waltz and less inspired.

I enjoyed this album, just as I did all of their other stuff.

While it does have plenty of similarities to their last effort, the former was a bit more of a heavy-hitter. And strangely, "Ready for Salvation" was my favorite off of this most recent album. I am usually not too keen to their slower stuff, but I love the guitar leads in that song.

I can justify having to spend $25 to import the album to the States, but I was definitely hoping for something a bit heavier. Oh well, it destroys anything COB has done in the past few years.

82/100

what do you guys expect... If a band change we complain, and if it doesn't we complain too.

Haha yeah. Either way, we have to complain.

Honestly I don't have much of a complaint about this album. It does have that similar vibe as TBW, but it's still a sweet album. Love Kalmah. \m/

It's not complaining; it's critiquing. Hearing that this sounds too much like Black Waltz, I'll probably end up ignoring it.

Kalmah kick ass, I like what I've heard so far from the new album, definitely shits out the likes of Bodom's and Norther's latest albums.
