This sounds like a good album to listen to at work. I work by myself for at least 2 hours in the morning and during that time I like to listen to slower, darker songs. This looks like a perfect match. I will be looking into this one.

Man, I am way to hyper for this, at least right now. I'll try listening to this when I am in a slower mood, like in the morning; I'm just too damn giddy after hearing the new Devin Townsend.

This is damn depressing stuff.

intense, isn't it?

It doesn't depress me anymore but then I'm resigned to being a miserable bastard, yay! approaching music like this while you're happy is probably not recommended..

Well, I started listening to this again at about 6:00 AM, and now I feel like crying. No, but seriously. I enjoyed it this time around. I'm still very new to the genre, especially funeral doom, but this was enough to persuade me to explore the genre further.

My favorite song, out of all three, was the second one "Dissident." I'm at the 11:00 minute mark where the song starts to pick up its pace. I love it. It so slow and dreary up until this point, and then it slowly builds up speed until it just smacks you in the face with the up-tempo evil climax. Great song.

As for the album, I'd say 70/100. Good review LT smash.

I'm listening to this one for the third time this morning (through the courtesy of Mr. Tail) and I must say that this is some pretty strong stuff. The guy that lives downstairs came up to complain but I think I scared him off. I don't look friendly in the morning, especially after listening to an hour straight of 'funeral doom from hell' haha.. I will not rate this yet as it needs some more spins and it just craves to be enjoyed in darkness (which will be my project for tonight) but it's definitely in the high end..

I'm glad Lizardtail is spreading Esoteric. This band need to be heard! Now they just need the two hour long Pernicious Enigma cd. That should put you folks in a wonderful mood.
