After about five spins I was convinced that this was going to be my #1 power metal album ever, then I dug out Valley of the Damned. Nothing will compare to what I felt when I first heard that album. Don't get me wrong, this album is brilliant, but I'm not going to say its better than VotD. 89/100.

More of the same, which is fine by me. Good album, with a couple of minor changes thrown in here and there.

The keyboards seem a little less meshed in with the rest of the instruments, which I actually prefer as it seems more like using them as an instrument in their own right rather than applying a glossy finish to the others.

What the Hell are those 'black metal' (snigger) backing vocals all about though?

Forget the black metal vocals, what about the horrible (what sounds like) turntable scratching in the second track.

dragonforce is power metal, dragonlord is symphonic black metal, i keep getting them mixed up all the time, which is totaly un-acceptable because they are completley different in everyway

96/100. I love all Dragonforce! I feel that they evolved their sound just enough to be fresh, while still keeping their style, which I love so much.

 Valley of the Damned is in my garbage bin section that is what I think of it. Wow this band is even more overrated than Edguy and all because their songs are fast?

A totally ultra-killer album. At first listen, i thought this was basically a slightly more skillful version of their previous album, but after many spins and re-listening to sonic firesorm it dawned on me that Inhuman Rampage quite superior.

Great album, although I need to give it some more spins to decide if it's better than Sonic Firestorm or not...

The production ruins VotD imo. They should revisit it, like Pagan's Mind did with Infinity Divine. Man, if VotD had the same production as Sonic Firestorm, it would be a fucking monster. I mean, the fucking DEMO version of the title track is one of my favorite songs of all time...

For some reason I never really got into Dragonforce but after hearing some sound bytes from the new album I'm liking this very much so next week I'm going on a CD splurge and this is one of the albums I'm getting 8)

Yeah, the production isn't the greatest, but it was such a groundbreaking release. It also came out around the same time I was getting into the genre, so it will always hold a place on my all time list. My favorite part on the album is the Double Dragon insert on "Black Fire."

Just listened to one song, music sounds better, vocals still suck. This is for speed junkies, I like slower/mid songs.

I have your solution. You ready for it? Ready? Don't listen to it.

well some idiots keep suggesting this band is a classic, so I am making sure I am not crazy. But otherwise I don't listen to them, but I must protest the ridiculous high scores.
