I am glad to see this got reviewed. Excellent songwriter regardless of what many metal-heads may think. They also bordered on glam.trash/pop in the early days of rock and should be given a lot of credit for that, though today it is more of a modern rock pop sound. Nonetheless, Far superior to the three doors down stuff.

Well, I've used this quote recently, but its worth repeating:

"Screw you Butthead, Bon Jove rule!"

Glad to see a positive review of this one - the last record prettymuch sucked. Too many shitty piano dirges and the singles were among their weakest. It had only two decent songs.

Erm, METHUL.

Bon Jovi was the first group i really considered my favourite band. I've seen them twice and both shows they rocked hard but unfortunately i wont be able to see them this time around due to a Russian final i have to write.

This album rocks. I have put my Blind Guardian and Dark Tranquillity CDs to rest for now. My CD deck in the car has only been spinning Bon Jovi for a while now.

ciao

Seriously, I thought these guys were dead or something. I can understand the Japanese loving them, Its my Life has to be the number on KTV song in Asia, serious.

Runaway and the Farenheit album were decent in the day, I haven't listenend to them since then.

My two cents: I downloaded the album and gave it a listen, I wasn't impressed much. It sounded like a mix of Crush and Bounce. I won't go as far as saying it's a bad album because it's not, it's just more of that new age alt-rock stuff they've been doing for a long time now.

I apparently downloaded the import version with the bonus tracks and I must say that "Unbreakable" was a great tune. I'll pick this up used at some point, but I won't go out of my way for it. I only own Bounce and the box set, and that's only because Walmart had it ringing wrong at $19.98 when it came out, the sticker said $39.98, hahaha. Otherwise, I'd just have the one. Not my favorite band ever, but the early shit is excellent.

Hard to admit as I ridiculed my mother and sister during my teenage years because they were big fans. At one point, though, drunk with friends in a bar in Korea, I realized I was a closet Bon Jovi fan because Crossroads came on and I knew the words to every fucking song!! Even "Someday I'll Be Saturday Night," which is only on that album! Hahaha.

I still think this is better than the original, though (my mother and sister never found it amusing), ahem:

SHOT THROUGH THE BALLS, AND YOUR IN PAIN
YOU JUST HAD..........A SEX CHANGE!

I know now to avoid your opinions on anything related to genres outside the thrash metal realm or even other musical spectrums in general. If you cannot admire the songwriting in Bon Jovi (All albums) then you are the last guy we need to be taking advice from. Stick to your "im a tough guy" "im so metal" and "underground" and stay out of these posts becuase Im doubting you have any AOR/Melodic Rock credentials.
Having said that, you are an expert in your particular field...........no matter how narrow that may be :)

"A" for effort, but of course, that's about as good as Honorable Mention. :o
