Pretty fair score. Not their best, but not the worst.

"Sure, Blackmore himself has dismissed much of the album as 'rubbish' and 'a waste of time'"... Ritchie seems to have lost his mind. He's too busy playing the 17th century minstrel for me to take him very seriously these days.

Absolutely, but that he was saying this the year the album was released (acc. to Wikipedia sources at least) does suggest he had his mind made up early!

Ha, there you go, then.
He's always been a strange dude. It's not Machine Head, but it;s a decent album, if a little on the poppy side.

EDIT: It's not Rising, rather. Forgot to take my brain medicine. :wacko: It's not Machine Head either, though, so... :unsure:
