Hey Chris,
I've been a reader of the site for many years. Just want to say well done. I'm on the same path and know the challenges. I've seen your name pop up on my own books' Customers Also Bought lists: ;) amazon.com/author/pklentz
My first SF book from long ago had ships named after metal songs... Whisper of Death, Colossus of Argil, Hunter in the Dark... others I don't even recall! And until now there are little hidden references all over.
I just bought the new collection. Congrats on it soaring up the charts. I've long thought your covers were absolutely stunning. Keep it up!
All best,
P.K.
Hello P.K.,
Thanks man! Yeah it's a journey, it takes time and it also takes compromises. I loved doing my own covers, that's not a problem, but being a marketer always irked me... but it's necessary. Now that I have accepted that, I can see the difference every time I launch a book.
Do you know the 20 books to 50K group on FB? If not join in, you'll learn TONS from it and will network with other authors. Ever since I've started networking with others, everything changed. Granted I was lucky with my vers first book entering the top 2000 books back in July 2015, and I'm pretty sure that was thanks to the cover I had spent 150h crafting. But it took until this month to make a better month than my first one, even with 9 books out.
I see you write about Greece too, that's cool!
I'm glad you like my covers

. Lately I've been able to do great cover work for 5-10h of work, and I would like to enrich my universe with more images of the ships, specs, interior renders,... etc. But there is only 24h each day (that's so unfair, LOL).
Thanks again and wishing you the best for your own path, don't hesitate to drop me an email (it's in my books, accessible in the look inside), or via my website or FB account.
Cheers,
Chris
