Definitely sounds like something I would like. Good review Alex.

One thing I would like to know is if they use real drums or programmed drums like Summoning. Hopefully is the real deal, programmed drums are so plastic, I never liked that in Summoning.

The barbaric horde known as SUMMONING rode onto the battlefield, wielding their axes of death and sounding their trumpets of doom. They were countered by the Guardians of the north, known as APPALACHIAN WINTER, who flew their dragon mounts and reigned fire onto the horde. For 7 days and 7 nights they fought until nothing but death and destruction was left on the bloodstained ground. But on the dawn of the 8th day, rising from the ashes was the CALADAN BROOD

Good question about the nature of the drums. Don't know the answer, but the beat does sound very close to what Summoning had on LMHSYF.

Don't care about the drums now, this album is the best I've heard this year. Such a magical journey. In fact, I'm loving this so much I started reading the fantasy novels the band's name is based on. Good stuff.

I gotta catch up on that fantasy series as well. Was not familiar with it

More dynamic than almost all of summoning's material. Yes, Summoning is great, but these are a bit more dynamic with actual guitar riffs that don't take away from the atmosphere. Wild Autumn Wind is one of the best metal songs ever.

The guitar solo in this song is spectacular. I wonder if it's performed by a guest.

Great Album. I am not a fan of clean vocals but they fit here and do not take anything away from the quality of the music. Check this out if you somehow missed it like I had.
