Hey man,

Thanks so much for reviewing this. This album is actually one of my best finds from this site. Tons of great melodic hooks and great vocals. You can tell right away that seasoned songwriters are at work. At some point they use so many melodic hooks that it can feel a bit like a songwriting toolkit overload, haha, but it's still awesome.

"The Lotus and the Willow" stands out so much especially with the strong off-key note in "And it's a cooooOOOLD winter." In some ways I hate that part because it shocks you out of the comfy lullaby melody, but on the other hand, it's a very progressive element to time the off-key note that way and hits you with the song's real message.

I've been listening to this on repeat over the past month pretty much nonstop. Probably my pick for best of 2015. Definitely an album to listen in order and take as a whole.
