Yeah, I prefer the Dolving fronted Haunted also for the same reasons Goat stated. Basically, Aro has no character to his voice. I'm not blaming Aro though. The riffs are uninspired and the songs don't have anything memorable enough to keep me coming back. The production is muddy. I don't know if it's the original guitar tones or what, but I cannot hear the definition in the guitar parts. I was never big on The Haunted without Dolving and this album did not change my opinion. I said before that I actually liked Unseen. Yes, it was kinda all over the place, but there are some really good songs that stay with you on that album. Like Goat said, This album can be described in one word, "forgettable". It's a disappointment because it seems more like a cash in than a genuinely inspired album. I want a new Witchery album Jensen! Witchery means much more to me anyway.

The first 4 The Haunted albums are some of my all time favorite albums. Then I'm not sure what happened but it all turned to poo. Exit Wounds is the best album since reVOLVer (their best effort to date imo), but it's still only half-decent. Just like the reviewer says it starts out ok, but then it turns into slow groovy "meh" that was never The Haunted I liked. Fast and furious "fight music" is what they do best.

And yeah, I also prefer Dolving to Aro.
