I can't believe someone thought this was a good idea for a piece of cover art, even for a single. It's suitable for a nu-metal OMG FUCK THA WORLD! I'M DISAFFECTED! anthem, certainly not for anything else.

Of course, this seems to be the direction in which CoB have chosen to go. That's depressing.

Ofcourse! If this was the cover on another and lesser known band nobody would have said anything about it! But CoF went shit (or remained shit and got worse while at it), so they deserve nitpicking and flaming. Our hate needs a way out ;)

Really? So am I (well, I will be in several years).

You're entirely correct about the cover. It looks like a fuzzy webcam picture taken by the light of a computer screen, then upped in contrast with photoshop. Seriously, if someone actually got commissioned for this and got paid for it, I'd be quite insulted. I can make better covers for albums with my eyes closed, and I wouldn't ask anything in return (save, perhaps, a copy of the album).
