Thanks for the review Zad, I'll definitely listen to this one. Nachthymen is still my favorite from these guys, but I've generally enjoyed their experimentation over the years too. And as you noted, their complexity and technical ability has always been among the best in the genre. Chronically underrated band.

This album strikes me as more sound and musicianship than songwriting (excepting the lengthy closer, which does stand out), but that said, what an incredible sound Abigor has! Somewhat resembling the direction of later DsO, but with the Abigor trademark guitar style (remember Abigor were around first) I'd also say this is better than anything DsO has released since Kenose. A solid 85/100 from me here, Abigor seems to be entering a new creative peak 21 years since its founding. Also enjoyed the varied guest vocal stylings from both members of that other well-known Austrian band, Summoning.
