I should give this one a listen soon. Interesting that Charles was surprised by his own earlier high rating of their first album. I think I admired it more than loved it, and the weather might color one's opinion of this type of music. Expecting this new one to be a lot more like 75 than 90 from me, but we'll see.

Love isn't a word that I would use for their first album. Admire/respect all work. It was a damn good album, that I opt for much more so than a lot of other so-called black metal classics come November. Need to give this a listen. May wait for a fleshed opinion till winter comes.

The disjoint between the "metal" and the "non-metal" parts doesn't work for me. Some of the interludes blended seamlessly, but overall it just didn't work. I think I would have been much more content without all the self-indulgence.

Disappointing, but not unexpected.

I got these guys mixed up with Paysage D Hiver (who suck massively). The first album isn't too bad but 2 discs is kinda overdone.

Fair enough, but I think this is a pretty good record anyway. One day they might put it all together.
