this album is pretty solid. My favorite tracks so far are Lavendar, Arteries, Requiem, Darkest White and Himmelfall.

If you liked the previous three releases then I guess it would be great for you. But I'm pretty disappointed with these guys. By now it's been almost a decade the they've been stuck (pretty much like another once gothic metal giant "Trail of Tears") on the same style. A style that I even don't know how to define. A mix of a light goth with a poppy-evanescencey sound I guess would be it...

Generally I don't have problem with evolution, even if it means change to the worse, so I could appreciate Ashes for the effort.
But this makes it already Ashes take-4. So I guess it means they found their style and there no more hope for me to see a change.

That's too bad, but I officially lost interest in my once all time favorite band.
