ugh, didn't like that Punky Brüster song at all. not a big Devin Townsend fan either, which makes me sad because a lot of people obviously derive great pleasure from his music. i love SYL's faster songs though, some really awesome stuff.

as for Soilwork, not a big fan of Steelbath Suicide but Chainheart Machine was great. barely remember Predator's Portrait and NBC (aside from Black Star Deceiver, which is awesome), have to go back to those albums... i skipped everything else from them. i don't know why someone would call pre-NBC Soilwork boring..

after this example and the positive reviews, i'll check out this album.

I got this a couple of week ago and after a couple of spins i was like it's OK but nothing more.

However after a dozen + spins it has grown on me A LOT. To the point where i think this is one of the best album of 2013 but i know i'm probably in the minority on this considering the average on MR is 58 lol . The writing is superb and the musicianship is top notch. Great melodies and catchy choruses. Quite varied too

Not sure how i would quote it but probably somwhere in the 85-90 range.
