Nice review, Goat.

I think I only heard one BC track, but you can never have enough rap-metal, I say.

If this gets reviewed, surely we could get some Rage Against the Machine. I consider the s/t a classic.

Yes.

Body count is funny, but crap. Only listened (and own) their fist album, and that's enough for me.

lol body count...i remember my uncle had "born dead", not sure where that fits in their discography having, strangely enough, never felt compelled to investigate them further...but that was pretty cool back when i was about 8 years old haha, even had a cover of hendrix' 'hey joe' (zadok, i agree that ice-t should never sing, but that goes without saying really). Interesting review though, always reliable for bringing something different to the table huh :D

Hmm Rage Against the Machine review??? This could possibly spark a complaint-post about the reviews on the website. I won't do it, but I definately think that a Rage Against the Machine review should be left to Rolling Stone or Revolver magazine.

Glad to hear you're down with the Body Count, Muse, Paramore, Pearl Jam and other random less-than-pure-Metal reviews, Holy, but if you want to make a Complaint Post that is, of course, up to you. I'm sure you can imagine how seriously it will be taken, as with all criticism from the forum.

The first Body Count album is actually pretty good. And Ernie C played on Black Sabbath's "Forbidden" album.

Body Count just signed with Sumerian. DEP AND BODY COUNT TOUR '13!!

But seriously. Wait. Zad, you called the debut rubbish, but gave this a 60? I want to read a review of the self-titled if those are your thoughts.

I could review BC's debut (but I won't). 40 something as it mainly sucks.

What!? It's like a solid 60. Honestly, I just want to know what Zad would rate it insofar as he rated this album fifteen years later a 60. But the debut, a dash of Suicidal Tendencies, Black Flag, and a solid proto-RATM vibe. Anthem has that nasty Slayer riff. Bowels of the Devil opens up with the Mechanix-y riff. How could you not dig There Goes the Neighborhoood and Cop Killer? Solid crossover with a hardcore vibe.

It's just not good enough nor very played enough to convince me.
Because it's a rare item, I kept the first cd pressing but more like a fetish, a curiosity.
