Post subject: Something to think about before buying this album

The following quotation is from Hate Forest's label's website (http://www.supernalmusic.com/labels/sup ... forest.htm)

"HATE FOREST's art is based upon the Aryan/Slavonic mythology, Nietzschean philosophy, and the ideology of elitism. Now HATE FOREST includes four persons. Every subhuman buying HATE FOREST releases buys a weapon against himself."

So, if you buy a Drudkh album you're giving your money to neo-nazis.

Sounds like they got a little bit too influenced by Varg Wikernes Burzum neo-nazism. But if the music is good one should download it and make them a favor by enjoying their music. It might be the only good thing they ever accomplish. Sometimes buying records is wrong but enjoying the music never is.

Why do every damn fool have to badmouth Nietsche? If they can not comprehend him, don´t read him. Nazy punks fuck off!

Cool, now I can rectify me downloading albums ;)

According to the review, I'm getting the impression this band makes music very similar to my beloved Woods Of Ypres and Ulver (Bergtatt), is that correct?

What does Aurora means?
I noticed an Eternal Tears of Sorrow song titled Aurora Borealis. And there is also a danish band with the name Aurora Borealis.

Just curious...

I believe Aurora means "light".

Aurora Borealis is Northern Lights in Latin - a very specific atmospheric event when the sky during the polar night lights up.

Kind of; it could be compared with Ulver, but only with the Bergtatt album; imagine a totally atmospehric version of it. No clean vocals by the way.

As for Woods of Ypres, I haven't heard that much from them, only two or three songs from Pursuit of the Sun and Allure of the Earth; but I don't really think it has much to do with what Drudkh play.

Anyway; I think that you'll enjoy it a lot.

Those two songs are from their other album, which is not really black metal... the other album is black metal, and maybe better...

Yep, Ulver's and Woods of Ypres' albums are pretty similar when you look at atmosphere... But the musicianship is on a different level, Drudkh is very repetitive, which makes it great.. Trust me, you'll fucking love this album :!:

It's a damn shame I lost this album btw

Good, I'll do my best :) Now we're on the subject, did any of you hear about/of schattendasein? Some little band trying to revive the good old black metal. Great music if you'd ask me: raw black metal with loads of acoustic passages, about the same style as the forementioned bands. A friend of mine met the guitarist during a Taake gig, that's how I found out about them. It's pretty logical this happened during a Taake gig though, the music is pretty much the same style...

Daniel! HELP ME!
I'm planning to buy this CD & have already tried haha, but Moribund was out of stock... Everywhere I look it says that the album only has 4 tracks, yet in your review you put 6... I'm confused...

It's probably because it has been re-issued many times with different covers; probably the track organisation changed as well as the cover of the album; but it contains exactly the same; the only difference is that that some tracks are grouped together.

As for where to get it well; you can try this distros, I don't know if they have it, but be sure to check all the ones you know in a daily basis, so that you can order the album as soon as they get it.

http://www.redstream.org/
http://www.barbarianwrath.org/

Or try ordering it from the directly from the label:

http://www.supernalmusic.com/

I don't know if the distros are trusty because I've never ordered from them, but I've heard some good comments about them. Just be sure you're buying the actual album and not a bootleg. Happy shopping Lokist!

What the fuck are you talking about? Listening to power metal won't get you to walk in a forest and kill every dragon you see either, would it?

sure but I don't want to give any money to neo-nazis.... and, I honestly thought NS black Metal meant New School Black Metal (which is okay) and not National Socialist BM...

so i'm not saying these guys are gonna do what they "sing" but even just the "message" is too much for me !

Believe me that they don't earn shit with their releases, it's not as if they're going to start an Aryan revolution with funds obtained from selling NSBM albums.....

NS is stupid, agreed, but that won't keep me away from listening to killer music. I won't wear a T-shirt from them, of course, but I can't deny the music is godly.
