The track outro’s with the bass plucking seems to trigger the ‘Play It Again’ synapse and has your hand reaching for the repeat button of its own accord.

Something must be wrong with my hand, then.

The only OverKill album I've heard is Killbox 13, and I was pretty underwhelmed by it. This album doesn't really sound like it will peak my interest much more.

Listen to The Years of Decay, that's fucking Overkill. Amazing album.

Killbox and this are for people that like the overall sound of Overkill. Pick up Feel the Fire, Taking Over, The Years of Decay, Under the Influence, and Horroscope for pure Thrash. It blows fucking Testament out of the water. You don't like those albums, you don't like Thrash. You like a watered-down, pussy version of it. Those albums are balls to the wall, full out Thrash assaults from the band that invented the shit to begin with.

As for this album, it's solid. It's not amazing or anything, but it's a good listen. Hell Is rules. It's a vast improvement over the boring RELIXIV. Oh, and it's Overkill's 15th album.

Yep, this is a good if unremarkable album- Devils in the Mist and Overkill V are awesome, the rest ranges from good to average. Still very enjoyable and one of the better thrash albums of 2007, and infinitely better than ReliXIV.

And Seinfeld: I like Killbox and all, but thats not where you start from Overkill- it'd be like checking out A Twist in the Myth to get into Blind Guardian (ie, a good album but nowhere near the best of the band). Just check out any of the first five, with special emphasis on The Years of Decay, Horrorscope and Feel the Fire.

That's the deal with just about every metal band ever; in 99% of cases, a band's best album is one of its five first. Killbox is Overkill's 12th full-length studio offering, so, not the album to judge an entire band's career by exactly.

In that case, may be someday I'll check out one of the earlier OverKill records.

Actually, A Twist In The Myth is probably my favorite BG album right now. :)

you can't expect a band's 13th album to be the height of quality.

or their 15th, for that matter.

i'll probably check this out just to see how it stacks up.

Well, if the group is Sodom, you can expect it :)

Well, their height was Agent orange/Persecution mania, but thier last albums are very near to their top... I'm still sure they will bring us their masterpiece in next relases.

Speaking of this overkill album, it's good, but not great. I'll stick with old overkill.

I dug up this review and looked at the comments saying that this is a solid effort considering it is late in Overkill's career. Damn was everybody proved wrong with Ironbound and now the Electric Age :D

Check back a few comments, guys says their 15th may be their best. Well? It may not be the best, but it's up there.
