Not a bad album and it deserves the score it gets, Breath of the black soil was the only track that caught my attention. It might take repeated listens, but the rest of the album was just going through the motions tremolo picking with the occasional melodic section.

Not sure why you two didn't think "When Gods" was different enough to stand out from the standard Drudkh (quiet interlude just not long enough?), but basically I agree with your scores and review Zad.

I still think Drudkh is calibrating their post-Blood in Our Wells Sound: I understood the progression of their first four albums, but they've suffered some identity issues since. A continuation of Microcosmos is where I think they'd be best suited, and I expect they will take that path, hopefully next time.

Havent heard the Handfull of Stars yet, but If it is anything like this album here, I think I will pass it. Modern Drudkh is pretty meh.

The two albums are quite different, but I wouldn't expect you to like Handfull.
