Is this really post-hardcore? Like At the Drive-In, Glassjaw, La Dispute, etc. post-hardcore? That would be intriguing, but it doesn't sound like it from the review. Whatev, seeing Mastodon and Protest the Hero still makes me want to check this out.

I wasn't planning to because while I kinda liked Ressentiment, it didn't do tons for me. I'm giving it another listen right now, but from what I remember it was lots of atonal riffs and monotonous harsh vocals, which are nice but weren't coupled with enough engaging moments.

This album kinda slipped under my radar. EotW really just never grab me. They're decent, but never amazing. New song is kinda more of the same in that respect.

I'm getting less and less interesting in them .(I feel lame saying that about a band.) As The Postman Syndrome they consistently cranked out wonderful vocal melodies, and on Farmer's Almanac they created the Platonic form of instrumental metal, but now their music is disappearing down a black hole of scritchy guitar riffs and monotonous screaming. ("Isis syndrome": screaming while making music that is too unaggressive or calm to deserve screaming.) There's still cool stuff going on but it's an every now and then thing rather than a consistent force.

Just saw that their bassist left. Sad :- (
